Review of Love in the Balance by Regina Jennings

About Love in the Balance:
Handsome Cowboy or Debonair Tycoon.
How's a Girl to Choose?
Molly Lovelace dreams of a life without cares in Lockhart, Texas. She also dreams of handsome wrangler Bailey Garner, her ardent but inconsistent beau. The problem is, with Bailey's poor prospects, she just can't fit the two dreams together.
Then mysterious stranger Edward Pierrepont sweeps into town-and her life-and for the first time Molly wonders if she's met the man who can give her everything. But he won't be in Lockhart long and while it certainly seems like he talks about their glorious future together, she can't quite get Bailey out of her mind.
What's a girl to do with all these decisions when love is in the balance?

My Review:

This book started out slow, and for me, it never really picked up.  The only character in the book that I liked was Bailey.  He was the same the whole way through the book.  Molly was too spoiled.  Her parents were just snobs.  They didn’t want her to marry Bailey because he didn’t come from a good enough family for them and had no money.  So, Molly ends up “marrying” Edward Pierrepont, or she thought so anyway, because her parents thought he had a lot of money.  But Molly is fooled by Edward in a big way.  She ends up back home humiliated.  But Bailey still loves her.  There was also a little intrigue to this book.  Molly’s father, who owns a sawmill, is losing money and Bailey and Molly figure out who is taking the money and also solve a murder that as pinned on a friend of Molly’s.
This book was well written, and it had a very good message of faith.  Once Molly learned to give her troubles to GOD, things got better for her and Bailey always trusted GOD.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review.
