Review of Shelley Shepard Gray's The Search

This is the second book in Shelley Shepard Gray's The Secrets of Crittenden County Series.

From Back Cover:  The serenity of the quiet Amish communiy of Marion, Kentucky, is disrupted when the body of Perry Borntrager is discovered in an abandoned well.  Now the small town faces the first death by mysterious circumstances in more than twenty years, and Detective Luke Rynolds is brought in to help investigate.  But before he can solve the crime, he faces unexpected feelings for Frannie, the Amish owner of the local bed-and-breakfast.   Though they butt heads at first, Luke finds himself drawn to Frannies' bedside when she's injured in a kitchen accident.  Soon it becomes clear that Frannie knew Perry better than she let on...they'd been secretly courting when he disapperaed.

Has Luke fallen for the very woman responsible for the crime?

My Review:  I really want to know who killed Perry Borntrager, but I'll have to wait till the next installment in this series, Found, comes out.  You have to read the first book in the series, Missing, to really understand The Search.  My heart aches for Frannie as she fights her feelings for Luke who is an Englisher.  And Luke runs to fight his feelings for Frannie.  Shelley keeps you guessing as to who committed the crime, so I'm looking forward to reading Found to finally find out who the murderer is.
