Kindle Fire VS. NOOK Color--Just my opionion.
I've had a NOOK Color since March and I really like it. I like the fact that if you have a technical problem, you can take it to a Barnes and Noble and they help you fix it. I also like how the NOOK is set up better and it's features; like how you shop and search in the Shop.
I just bought a Kindle Fire last weekend. The main reason I bought a Kindle Fire was because you can borrow books on it through our local library, plus if you are an Amazon Prime Member you can also borrow books through that network. From what I've seen so far, there are more choices on the Kindle Fire, with books and apps. I've found authors on the Kindle that you can't find on the NOOK.
My son likes the apps so that he can play games. He has several story books on the NOOK, but I haven't gotten him any on the Kindle Fire yet. He likes the Kindle better, because there is an Annoying Orange game available on it that isn't on the NOOK.
All in all, either device is good, but I prefer the NOOK. They are both in the same price range. The only thing I like better about the Kindle is more choices. It would be nice to be able to take the choices from the Kindle and put them on the NOOK!
But I will have to say this, I still prefer a good ole book to either of these devices. I like the fact that with these devices I can have the book I want to read in seconds, whereas for me to buy the book, I have to either drive an hour to a store that sells books or order them online. Also, with technology, you may not be able to buy a book in the future. I pray that it doesn't come to that, because I enjoy picking up a book and reading it so much.
These are just my thoughts about the two devices, nothing in this post is based on fact. I really can't influence anyone on either device, because both have good points. If you don't have one and are looking to buy one, I suggest doing research on both devices to decide which is the better option for you. Or you could just do like me and buy both.
